6 Ways to Make Money Online

My Great Web page

Everyday we hear people complain about not getting jobs. Some people say, ‘I graduated 5 years ago, yet no job. Government is not providing jobs, companies are not hiring. “I’ve applied to several banks, oil and gas companies, construction companies, and even churches and yet they turned me down…”. Complaints upon complaints!

Fela Durotoye, a celebrated public speaker once said, and I quote: “it is not what you lack that will slow you down, rather, It is what you have and don’t know how to use”. We claim to be unemployed for several years, yet we use blackberry phones and pay for monthly subscription- All for what? To ping and chat, update profile pictures by the second, post comments on our friends’ walls…

Do you know that you can turn that blackberry phone or iPad to a money-making tool?

Recent research has proved that by 2020,  it is either you know how to use technology to make money, or you become poor for life, because, even businesses will be replacing many jobs with technology.

Try these tips!

1.        Write.

If you have writing skills, then that’s all you need to start making money online. A lot of companies are looking for part-time bloggers. Choose an area you have strength in, a subject you love to discuss. It could be fashion, housekeeping, baking, technology, crafts, name it! These companies will either pay you per post, or on a steady contract.

Some sites pay based on performance. The amount you will be paid will depend on how many people have viewed your article. So, to make money online through writing, ensure your article is worth reading.

2.       Start your own blog.

Rather than write for other websites, you may choose to start your own blog. You don’t need to have web design skills and you can set up your own blog or free by using Blogger. The only thing required is your domain name. After setting up the blog, you can start uploading your articles.

If your articles are interesting then people will always go back to it and they will also refer others. Now here’s the catch, Blogger even automates setting up Google AdSense so you can make money off your blog by displaying ads and getting paid when people click on the ads.

3.       Advertise other people’s products.

On your Web site or a blog, you can advertise other people’s product. Look for vendors that offer related but non-competing products and see if they have an affiliate program. Stick to familiar products and brands – they’re easier to sell. To promote those products:

  • Place simple text or graphical ads in appropriate places on your site
  • Include links to purchase products you review or recommend in a blog, discussion forum or mailing list you control
  • Create a dedicated sales page to promote a particular product

4.      Microstock photography.

You don’t have to be a professional photographer to sell your photos for money. People are constantly in need of stock photography for websites, presentations, brochures and so on, and are willing to pay for the right image. People generally search for images on stock photography sites by keywords, not by photographer, so you have the same chance as anyone else of having your image picked. If all you do is upload pictures to facebook every minute, then don’t waste your talent. Make your camera phone a business tool. Take good snapshots, upload them to picture sites like  shutterstock and istockphoto, and earn money when someone uses it.

5.       Wholesale drop-shipping

You can now start doing business without having to pre-purchase or stock any goods. All that needs to be done is to merely list products along with descriptions and graphics on the website of a B2B trade portal.

The secret of success lies in finding the right portal that has built its name and is well-known throughout the world of business for its extensive coverage of buyers and sellers. It would also be necessary to display the products of the wholesale business in an attractive manner with all pertinent information, prices, terms of business and graphics.

Or you can even start smaller. Ladies are crazy about human hair. Key into that trend and make money from it. Start telling your female friends you can get them human hair at affordable rates. They pay you, you purchase it online, and you instruct the company to ship to your friend. And you make profit.

6.      Join a wealth creation group.

I belong to a wealth creation group called Avenues to Wealth. It’s not just a network marketing platform, but it’s also a platform that has a lot of business opportunities. On Avenues to wealth, suppliers list their products on the portal at heavily discounted rates. From electronics to cement, from provision to land, name it! What we do is tell people who need these items that we can help them with the purchase. We purchase from the portal and make our profit. Now here’s the juicy part: Avenues to Wealth rewards us with 40% of the profit made on the items we bought from the portal. Isn’t that wonderful? :)

I hope you learned a thing or two about how to make money online. Stop depending on the government to create jobs. Stop waiting for oil companies. How many graduates will they employ? Stop looking up to other private businesses, the economy is bad and they are all downsizing.

Challenge yourself today. Employ these tips and I’m sure you will succeed. If you’ve already got a job, that’s fantastic. You can still employ these tips to create another source of income that will cater for family vacation, a new house, a new car and anything you want to invest in.
